Battery positive voltage (B+) is supplied to both front heated seat modules from the rear fuse block IGN 3 fuse. Therefore, the heated seats will operate only with the ignition switch in the ON position. Battery positive voltage (B+) is also supplied at all times to each front heated seat module from the rear fuse block HTDST LF Fuse for the left seat module or HTDST RF Fuse for the right heated seat module.
Each front heated seat is controlled by a separate heated seat switch. Battery positive voltage (B+) is supplied to each front heated seat switch from the front door module. When the front heated seat temperature switch is pressed, a battery positive voltage (B+) is momentarily applied to the temperature input of the front door module. Then the front door module momentarily grounds the temperature input of the heated seat module. The heated seat module then applies or removes battery positive voltage (B+) to the front heated seat heating elements. The front heated seat module monitors the seat surface temperature through a thermistor and maintains a pre-determined temperature. The mode of the heated seat can also be set to determine if the cushion and the back are heated or the back only is heated. When the front heated seat mode switch is pressed, a battery positive voltage (B+) input is momentarily applied to the front door module . The front door module then momentarily grounds the mode input, of the front heated seat module. The heated seat module then applies or turns OFF the ground path for the heated seat cushion heating element.
When the heated seat is off and the front heated seat temperature switch is pressed once, the front heated seat module will set the heated seat temperature to HIGH. The front door module supplies a ground path for the front heated seat switch High Heat LED. When pressed again, the heated seat temperature is then set to MED. The front door module supplies a ground path to the front heated seat switch MED Heat LED. When pressed again, the heated seat temperature is then set to LOW. The front door module supplies a ground path to the front heated seat switch Low Heat LED. After the switch is pressed the fourth time, the front heated seat module removes the ground path to the front heated seat heating elements. The heated seat module will also turn off the heated seat whenever, the ignition switch has been turned to the OFF position.
When the heated seat is turned on, the heated seat module will automatically set the mode to heat both the seat cushion and the seat back. When the mode switch is pressed once, the front heated seat module will set the heat mode to back only. The front door module will supply a ground path for the front heated seat switch back only LED.
Battery positive voltage (B+) is supplied to both rear heated seat modules from the rear fuse block IGN 3 Fuse. Therefore, the heated seats will operate only with the ignition in the ON position. Battery positive (B+) is also supplied at all times to the rear heated seat modules from the rear fuse block HTDST LR Fuse for the left heated seat module or HTDST RR Fuse for the right heated seat module.
Each rear heated seat is controlled by a separate heated seat switch. Battery positive voltage (B+) is supplied to each rear heated seat switch from the appropriate rear door module. When a rear heated seat temperature switch is pressed, a battery positive voltage (B+) is momentarily applied to the temperature input of the rear door module. Then the rear door module momentarily grounds the temperature input of the heated seat module. The rear heated seat module then applies or removes battery positive voltage (B+) to the rear heated seat heating elements.
