Did you perform the Diagnostic System Check - Power Seat Systems?

  1. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  2. Is the HIGH indicator of the heated seat switch always on?

Go to Step 5

  1. Disconnect the heated seat switch harness connector.
  2. Connect a 3-amp fused jumper wire from battery positive voltage to the battery terminal of the heated seat switch.
  3. Momentarily connect a 3-amp fused jumper wire from the high indicator terminal of the heated seat switch to a good ground.

Does the HIGH indicator of the heated seat switch illuminate?

Go to Step 4

Test the high indicator control circuit between the heated seat switch and the door module for a short to voltage, a high resistance, or an open. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Test the high indicator control circuit between the heated seat switch and the door module for a short to ground. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Inspect the for poor connections at the harness connector of the door module. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Inspect the for poor connections at the harness connector of the heated seat switch. Refer to Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Replace the door module. Refer to Door Control Module Replacement in Doors.

Replace the heated seat switch. Refer to Front Seat Heater Switch Replacement or Rear Seat Heater Switch Replacement .

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
