The steering column tilt/telescoping module (SCCM) provides a 5 volt reference voltage to the tilt position sensor circuits and the telescope position sensor circuits. The SCCM uses internal circuits connected to the source voltage to determine if the 5 volt reference voltage is within a valid range.
The self diagnostic test will run once every 30 seconds regardless of source voltage.
If the 5 volt reference voltage falls out of the range of 4.6 volts to 5.2 volts for 1.2 seconds the sccm will set the code.
Will not allow memory recall functions.
The SCCM no longer detects a failure during the last self diagnostic test.
