SPARE TIRE COVER WEAK/FLIMSY (REPL W/THICKER SPARE COVER)

SUBJECT: SPARE TIRE COVER SEEMS WEAK OR FLEXIBLE

MODELS AFFECTED: 1992 ELDORADOS AND SEVILLES

Some owners of 1992 Eldorados and Sevilles may comment that the spare tire cover in the trunk is weak and/or flexible due to the thickness of the cover.

To correct this condition new thicker spare tire covers are now available through GMSPO:

Eldorado: P/N 3537803 Seville: P/N 3537804

Refer to Section 10-8 of the 1992 E/K Service Information Manual.

Parts are expected to be available on September 21, 1992. In case of limited inventory, parts will be laced on 400 control to waive VIP surcharges. Only verifiable emergency VIP orders will be accepted. SPO will make every effort to obtain parts. However, the part will be shipped premium transportation at dealer's expense, and all other order types will be placed on back order until the 400 control is removed.

For warranty purposes use Labor Operation C4720 at .2 hour.
