Some 1992 Eldorados and Sevilles may experience a condition where the sun visor mounting bracket displays loose rotational movement when pivoting visor from windshield to side window position and back. This may be due to the sheet metal clip being loose.
To repair this condition use the following procedure:
1. Unscrew pan-head screws from visor mounting bracket, and carefully lower visor. Refer to Figure 1.
2. Remove mylar spacer.
3. Screw one #10-18 pan-head screw between spring leg of the sheet metal clip and the sheet metal. Refer to Figure 2. Make certain that the mounting bracket does not rest on the screw head. If it does, relocate screw away from the screw hole.
4. Inspect that the three attachment legs are engaged.
5. Reinstall mylar spacer.
6. Reinstall visor and visor mounting bracket.

General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
