ERRACTIC ELECTRICAL SYSTEM OPERATIONS WITH KEY OFF

SUBJECT: ERRATIC ELECTRICAL SYSTEM OPERATIONS WITH KEY OFF (DIAGNOSE/SEAL LEAK/REPLACE RAP OR STARTER

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1992-93 "E" AND "K" MODELS

Some 1992-1993 Eldorados and Sevilles may experience some or all of the following conditions:

0 Erratic Electrical System Operations With Key "Off' 0 Intermiftent IPC Codes 33, 34, 37, and/or 39 0 Intermiftent Dead Battery 0 IPC/Rear Blower Motor "On" With Key "Off' 0 RAP Remains "On" After Door Open 0 Intermittent No Start In Freezing Weather (frozen starter enable relay)

The above conditions may be caused by water intrusion/accumulation from the underside of the left-hand dash panel in the left-hand sill channel area where many of the above electronic system wirings/connectors/components/grounds are located (body main harness, RAP relay and circuit breaker, starter enable relay, etc.). To repair the above condition(s), seal leak per Corporate bulletin number 311604, Group 1 0. Replace RAP relay and starter enable relay using PN 14100455 for either relay, and if required, repair affected system wirings/connectors/ground (G302).

Theft Deterrent Interrupt Relay N291 0 1992 .4 .4 1993 .2 .2
