Does the LED illuminate?

Inspect the valet switch.

Is the valet switch in the OFF position?

Go to Step 4

Inspect the GDO for being fully seated in the overhead console.

Is the GDO installed properly?

  1. Remove GDO from overhead console. Go to Garage Door Opener Replacement .
  2. Inspect the battery voltage from the garage door opener terminal 3 of connector to ground with a DMM.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

10 - 15 Volts

Using a DMM inspect the garage door opener switch, terminal 1 for ground.

Is a ground present?

--

Go to Step 12

Inspect for battery voltage from C1 terminal B5 of the Body Control Module (PZM) to ground.

Is voltage within the specified range?

10 - 15 Volts

Go to Step 13

Inspect for voltage from terminal A of the Valet Switch to B+.

Is voltage within the specified range?

10 - 15 Volts

Inspect for open in CKT 151 (BLK/WHT) from valet switch terminal A to G205.

Is repair complete?

Turn valet switch to the ON position.

Replace Garage Door Opener.

Refer to Roof Console Replacement .

Remove overhead console. Refer to Roof Console Replacement Assure the GDO is fully seated and making proper electrical connection to overhead console harness.
