Makes 🢒 Cadillac 🢒 2001 🢒 Eldorado 🢒 Body and Accessories 🢒 Instrument Panel, Gauges, and Console 🢒 Engine Oil Level Sensor Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Drain the engine oil. Refer to Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement in Engine Mechanical-4.6 L.

    3. Object Number: 551033 Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector (2) from the oil level sensor (1).
  4. Remove the oil level sensor from the oil pan.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Notice in the Preface section.

  1. Install the oil level sensor (1) in the oil pan.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the oil level sensor to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).

  2. Connect the electrical connector (2) to the oil level sensor (1).
  3. Lower the vehicle.
  4. Fill the engine oil. Refer to Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement in Engine Mechanical-4.6 L.
  5. Start the engine and inspect for oil leaks.
