Makes 🢒 Cadillac 🢒 2002 🢒 Eldorado 🢒 Body and Accessories 🢒 Body Rear End 🢒 Rear Compartment Lid Lock Cylinder Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the rear compartment lid trim. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Inner Panel Trim Replacement .
  2. Remove the lock cylinder emblem (1). Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Emblem/Nameplate Replacement in Exterior Trim.

    3. Object Number: 604143 Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the lock release cable from the back of the lock cylinder.

    4. Object Number: 367568 Size: SH
  4. Use a long flat-bladed tool in order to remove the retainer (1).

    5. Place a wooden wedge between the flat-bladed tool and the inner panel in order to protect the painted surface of the lid (2).

  5. Disconnect the electrical connector.
  6. Remove the cylinder (4) from the rear compartment lid (2).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 367568 Size: SH
  1. Install the gasket (3) to the lock cylinder (4).
  2. Install the lock cylinder into the rear compartment lid (2).
  3. Install the retainer clip (1).
  4. Connect the electrical connector.

    5. Object Number: 604143 Size: SH
  5. Connect the lock release cable to the back of the cylinder.
  6. Install the rear compartment lid trim. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Inner Panel Trim Replacement .
  7. Install the rear compartment lid emblem (1). Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Emblem/Nameplate Replacement in Exterior Trim.
