Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 443258  Size: SH
  1. Gently pry open at the forward edge of the roof console trim plate (1).
  2. Remove the fastener  (2) retaining the roof console (3) to the headliner.
  3. Using your index finger, release the garage door opener electrical wiring from the front retainer clip in order to remove the console.
  4. Gently pull rearward the roof console to release from the locking tabs (4).
  5. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
  6. Disconnect the electrical connector from the power sunroof switch.
  7. Disconnect the retaining tabs securing the switch (1) to the roof console.

  9. Remove the power sunroof switch (1).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 443257  Size: SH
  1. Install the power sunroof switch (1).
  2. Push the switch into the locking tabs on the roof console in order to secure.
  3. Connect the electrical connector.
  4. Position the roof console in the opening.
  5. Secure the garage door opener electrical wiring back to the front retainer clip.

  6. Object Number: 443258  Size: SH
  7. Make sure locking tabs (4) are secure to the headliner.
  8. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  9. Install the fastener (2) in order to secure the roof console (3) to the headliner.
  10. Tighten
    Tighten the fastener to 1.8 N·m (16 lb in).

  11. Snap the roof console trim plate (1) into the roof console.
