Installation Procedure
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
Important: Visually inspect the window position to the front door window weatherstrip.
Ensure that the weatherstrip overlaps the window a minimum of 3 mm
(0.125 in).
- With the window (1) in the full up position, perform the
following steps:
1.1. | Raise the rear wedge until the wedge contacts the rear edge of
the window. |
1.2. | Tighten the wedge attachment screw. |
1.3. | Use a thin-bladed screwdriver in the adjustment slot in order
to prevent the wedge from rotating when tightening the wedge. |
Tighten
Tighten the wedge screw to 3 N·m (27 lb in).
