Removal Procedure
- Remove the trim panel. Refer to
Door Trim Panel Replacement
- Remove the water deflector. Refer to
Door Water Deflector Replacement
- Disconnect the electrical connector (4).
- Remove the mirror assembly
fasteners (3).
- Carefully guide the electrical harness through the door from between
the inner panel and the impact bar.
- Remove the mirror assembly (2) from the door.
Installation Procedure
- Carefully route the electrical
harness through the door in between the inner panel and side impact bar.
- Install the mirror assembly (2) to the door.
- The mirror must be parallel to the edge of the mucket within 2 mm.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the fasteners (3)
that secure the mirror to the door.
Tighten
• | Tighten the 2 bottom nuts first to 6 N·m (53 lb in). |
• | Tighten the top nut last to 6 N·m (53 lb in). |
- Connect the electrical connector (4).
- Install the water deflector. Refer to

- Install the trim panel. Refer to one
