- Loosen the 4 bolts
on the hinges (1, 3) in order to adjust the door at the door
hinge pillar (4) in the following directions:
- Reposition the door as needed.
- Adjust for a limited up or down movement at the body side hinge
attachments.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Position the door
fore or aft at the body hinge pillar attachment. Perform the following steps
as needed:

Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 48 N·m (35 lb ft).
4.4. | Inspect the door adjustment after the bolts are tightened to the
specified torque. |
