Removal Procedure

    Caution:  When a hood hold open device is being removed or installed, provide alternate support to avoid the possibility of damage to the vehicle or personal injury.

  1. Raise and support the hood.

    2. Object Number: 366269 Size: SH
  2. Disengage the retainer clips in order to release the assist rod from the mounts.
  3. Remove the assist rod.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 366269 Size: SH
  1. Position the assist rod to the mounts.
  2. Press the assist rod to the mounts in order to engage the retainer clips.
  3. Remove the hood hold open device.
  4. Close the hood.
