EFFECTIVE WITH THE FIRST CREDIT CYCLE OF SEPTEMBER (CM 735) CLAIMS INVOLVING 1979 AND OLDER MODEL VEHICLES (EXCEPT CAMPAIGN CLAIMS) WILL NO LONGER BE ACCEPTED WITH SEVEN DIGIT LABOR OPERATION NUMBERS. THIS CHANGE, WHICH WILL AFFECT ALL 1979 AND PRIOR CLAIMS SUBMITTED AUGUST 25, 1987 AND LATER, WILL BE AS FOLLOWS: CLAIMS ACCEPT CAMPAIGNS THE SEVEN DIGIT LABOR OPERATIONS FROM THE 1979 AND PRIOR LABOR TIME GUIDES USED FOR PARTS WARRANTY SUBMISSION WILL NO LONGER BE ALLOWED. ALL CLAIMS MUST BE SUBMITTED WITH A FIVE POSITION LABOR OPERATION OBTAINED FROM THE 1980 LABOR TIME GUIDE. SELECT THE LABOR OPERATION THAT BEST DESCRIBES THE REPAIR PERFORMED. CAMPAIGN CLAIMS THIS CHANGE WILL NOT AFFECT THE SUBMISSION OF ANY OLDER CAMPAIGNS WHERE THE CAMPAIGN BULLETIN SUPPLIES THE SEVEN DIGIT LABOR OPERATION. CAMPAIGN CLAIMS ONLY WILL STILL ALLOW THE USE OF THE SEVEN DIGIT LABOR OPERATION AS PUBLISHED IN A CAMPAIGN BULLETIN ON A 1979 AND PRIOR MODEL YEAR VEHICLE. IT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT THAT THE INFORMATION CONTAINED IN THIS BULLETIN BE PASSED ON TO ALL DEALERSHIP PERSONNEL INVOLVED IN WARRANTY CLAIM HANDLING. THIS WILL ENSURE ACCURATE CLAIMS SUBMISSION AND PROMPT CLAIMS PAYMENT.
