Enclosed are three laminated Cadillac Warranty Coverage charts which have been updated to include 1987models. Significant changes for the new model year are as follows:
Major Assembly Coverage has been increased to 5 years/50,000 miles.
The Brougham now receives the same major assembly coverage as De Ville, Fleetwood, Eldorado and Seville.
Electronic component coverage for all Cadillac models has been increased to 5 years/50,000 miles with no deductible.
The fee for transferring the remaining Major Assembly Coverage to second owners has been increased to $50.00.
The reverse side covers General Motors Service Replacement Parts and Accessories Warranties and Cadillac Value Protection Plan. Please distribute these charts to dealer personnel most involved with warranty coverages. A limited supply of additional charts is available from your Cadillac Zone Office.
General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
