Subject: ABS and TCS Lamps On and a Service Stability and Service Brake Assist Message On

Models:2006 Cadillac STS-V


The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Condition/Concern:

Some 2006 STS-V may intermittently set the ABS and Traction Control lights as well as the Service Stability System and Service Brake Assist System messages on the DIC. This condition may be caused by a Wheel Speed Sensor within the Hub and Bearing assembly. There should be a DTC set for the affected wheel.

Recommendation/Instructions:

Replace the affected Hub and Bearing with the following Part Numbers:

Front

15816313

Rear

15819433

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
