Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 105365  Size: SH
  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Remove the bolts securing the support bracket to the cradle.

  3. Object Number: 105359  Size: SH
  4. Remove the nuts from the catalytic converter to the exhaust downpipe.
  5. Remove the exhaust support bracket.
  6. Remove the oxygen sensor. Refer to Heated Oxygen Sensor Replacement in Engine Controls.

  7. Object Number: 105367  Size: SH
  8. Remove the four bolts securing the exhaust downpipe to the exhaust manifold.
  9. Remove the exhaust downpipe.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 105367  Size: SH
  1. Install the exhaust downpipe.
  2. Important: Do not tighten the bolts at this time.

  3. Install the four bolts securing the exhaust downpipe to exhaust manifold.

  4. Object Number: 105359  Size: SH
  5. Install the exhaust support bracket.
  6. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  7. Install the nuts from the catalytic converter to the exhaust downpipe.
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 24 N·m (18 lb ft).

  9. Install the oxygen sensor. Refer to Heated Oxygen Sensor Replacement in Engine Controls.

  10. Object Number: 105365  Size: SH
  11. Install the bolts securing the support bracket to frame.
  12. Tighten
    Tighten the two right exhaust downpipe to exhaust manifold bolts to 40 N·m (30 lb ft) and the left exhaust downpipe to exhaust manifold bolts to 40 N·m (30 lb ft).

  13. Lower the vehicle.
