Removal Procedure
- Remove the intake manifold
sight shield.
- Disconnect the EVAP canister
purge solenoid valve quick-connect hose (3) at the solenoid (4) from the intake
manifold (9).
- Disconnect the EVAP canister purge valve quick-connect hose (7)
from the solenoid (4) to the enhanced EVAP service port (8).
- Disconnect the EVAP canister purge valve electrical connector
(6) from the EVAP canister purge solenoid valve.
- Remove the EVAP canister purge valve bolt (2).
- Remove the EVAP canister purge from the bracket (5).
Installation Procedure
- Install the EVAP canister
purge valve (4) to the bracket (5).
- Reinstall the EVAP canister purge solenoid valve bolt (2).
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 10 N·m (88 lb in).
- Connect the EVAP canister purge solenoid quick-connect hose (3)
at the solenoid from the intake manifold.
- Connect the EVAP canister purge solenoid quick-connect hose (7)
from the solenoid to the enhanced EVAP service port.
- Connect the EVAP canister purge electrical connector (6) to the
EVAP canister purge solenoid.
- Install the intake manifold
sight shield.
Tighten
Tighten the nuts to 3 N·m (27 lb in).
