Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 104993  Size: SH
  1. Raise the vehicle and support by the frame allowing the control arms to hang free. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Remove the wheels and tires.
  3. Loosen the stabilizer link bolts.

  5. Remove the stabilizer shaft brackets
  6. Remove the stabilizer shaft insulator from the bracket.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 104995  Size: SH
  1. Loosely install the right and left stabilizer shaft insulators, brackets and bolts.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Loosely install the stabilizer link insulators, washers, nut and bolt.
  4. Tighten

        • Tighten the stabilizer bracket bolts to 38 N·m (28 lb ft).
        • Tighten the stabilizer link nut to 17 N·m (13 lb ft).
  5. Install the tires and wheels.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the wheel nuts to 140 N·m (100 lb ft).

  7. Lower the vehicle.
