The cancel cam is worn.

Replace as needed.

Refer to Turn Signal and Multifunction Switch Assembly - Off Vehicle .

The detent, return or cancel spring broken, missing, or out of position.

Adjust and/or replace components as needed.

The switch mounting screws are loose.

Torque the switch mounting screws to proper specifications.

Refer to Fastener Tightening Specifications .

The switch or anchor bosses broken.

Repair/replace components as needed.
