- Connect a scan tool to the data link connector (DLC).
- Turn the ignition switch ignition to ON.
- Select TTM on the scan tool.
- Select the data menu and monitor the tilt/telescope switch input
on the scan tool.
- Press the tilt/telescope switch to COLUMN IN, then to COLUMN OUT.
Does the module receive each input as expected, as indicated on the
scan tool?

- Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
- Disconnect steering column tilt/telescoping module connector C4.
- Connect a DMM set to ohms scale across connector C4 terminals
D and F.
- Press the tilt/telescope switch to COLUMN IN, then release the
switch.
Does the DMM show less than 0.5 ohms with the switch pressed and OL
with the switch released?

- Connect a DMM set to ohms scale across terminals C and F of the
steering column tilt/telescoping module connector C4.
- Press the tilt/telescope switch to COLUMN OUT, then release the
switch.
Does the DMM show less than 0.5 ohms with the switch pressed and OL
with the switch released?

| Replace the tilt/telescope switch.
Is the replacement complete?

- Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
- Disconnect the steering column tiilt/telescoping module conector
C3.
- Connect a fused jumper from connector C3 terminal C to ground,
and momentarily connect a fused jumper from connector C3 terminal B to battery
positive voltage (B+).
- Repeat the previous step with the connector C3 terminals B and
C reversed.
Does the telescope motor move the column in for one test and out for
the other test?

| Replace

C3 for poor terminal contact.
- If OK, replace the TTM. Refer to
Tilt/Telescoping Module Replacement

- After replacement, reset the soft stops. Refer to
