Notice: Use only Polyalkylene Glycol Synthetic Refrigerant Oil (PAG) for internal circulation through the R-134a A/C system and only 525 viscosity mineral oil on fitting threads and O-rings. If lubricants other than those specified are used, compressor failure and/or fitting seizure may result.

The A/C compressor uses a different type of PAG oil called SUN PAG. The service replacement compressor contains 80 ml (2.8 fl oz) of SUN PAG refrigerant oil. No oil needs to be added to the service replacement compressor prior to installation.

If refrigerant oil needs to be added to the system do to normal maintenance, or if a component other then the compressor is replaced, PAG oil may be added to the system. Refer to Refrigerant Oil Distribution Specifications for the amount of oil to be added to each component.

If the system abruptly loses the refrigerant charge, such as in the event of a collision, and the compressor has to be replaced do not add any additional refrigerant oil to the compressor.

If other components are replaced do to a collision refer to Refrigerant Oil Distribution Specifications for the amount of oil to be added to each component.
