The heater and A/C control assembly allows the vehicle operator to communicate with the Instrument Panel Integration Module (IPM). The IPM is an integrated component of the heater and A/C control assembly. The IPM is the component which monitors the HVAC system status and can adjust to meet the requirement set by the operator of the vehicle. The heater and A/C control includes buttons to select operating modes, a fan speed increase/decrease switch, the rear defog control button, and a vacuum fluorescent display panel. When the parklamps or headlamps are turned on, the buttons are illuminated. The temperature for the driver and passenger is controlled individually by two separate knobs.
The rear control assembly is located in the rear of the console. This control allows the occupants in the rear seat to adjust the rear blower speed and air discharge location. The user can select from 4 different fan speeds and 3 different air discharge locations.
