The air delivery is control by the mode actuator which is mounted on the left side of the HVAC module. This actuator is controlled by the instrument panel integration module (IPM). The IPM adjusted the mode actuator to discharge the air delivery as requested by the operator of the vehicle. The mode actuator sends a feedback voltage to the IPM. This feedback voltage is used by the IPM to determine which air delivery mode the system is currently operating in.

Rear Mode Circuit Description

The air delivery of the rear air can be controlled by the rear blower switch. The rear blower switch has a rotary know which allows the occupants of the rear seat to adjust air flow. The change in air flow is performed by the rear mode actuator. The rear mode actuator adjusts the air position based on voltage received through circuit 1593. The rear mode actuator receives power from the HVAC fuse located in the rear junction block. This voltage is sent through circuit 141. The rear blower switch and the rear mode actuator are grounded through circuit 350.
