Remove Procedure

J 39500-B A/C Refrigerant Recovery, Recycling and Recharging System


    Object Number: 130640  Size: SH
  1. Recover the refrigerant from the system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
  2. Disconnect the discharge hose from the condenser.
  3. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.

  4. Object Number: 130643  Size: SH
  5. Disconnect the discharge hose from the compressor.
  6. Disconnect the electrical connector from the A/C refrigerant pressure sensor.
  7. Remove the discharge hose.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the discharge hose.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Connect the discharge hose to the compressor.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the discharge hose to 20N·m (15 lb ft).

  5. Connect the electrical connector to the A/C refrigerant pressure sensor.
  6. Lower the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.

  7. Object Number: 130640  Size: SH
  8. Connect the discharge line to the condenser.
  9. Tighten
    Tighten the accumulator line fitting to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).

  10. Recharge the refrigerant system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
