When the front fog lamp switch is pressed, the instrument panel integration module (IPM) Front Fog Lamp Switch Input is grounded via CKT 192 (ORN), the front fog lamp switch contacts in the headlamp switch, and CKT 351 (BLK/WHT) to G200. In response to this input, the IPM sends a class 2 message to the dash integration module (DIM) changing the state of the front fog lamps. The state of the front fog lamps will remain the same until the front fog lamp switch is pressed, even between ignition cycles. Battery positive voltage (B+) is supplied at all times from the underhood junction block FOG/DRL Fuse to the FOG LP relay switch. Battery positive voltage (B+) is supplied with the ignition switch in the ON or START position to the FOG LP relay coil. The FOG LP relay is located in the underhood junction block. When the front fog lamp state is on, the DIM grounds the FOG LP relay coil via CKT 1317 (DK GRN/WHT). With the ignition switch in the ON or START position, the FOG LP relay coil is energized and the switch contact closes. Battery positive Voltage (B+) is supplied to the LH and RH front fog lamps via CKT 34 (PPL). The LH and RH front fog lamps are both permanently grounded through CKT 1050 (BLK) to G401, so both front fog lamps have power and ground, and then light. When the front fog lamps are on, the park lamps will also light. Refer to Exterior Lights Circuit Description .
When the rear fog lamp switch is pressed, the instrument panel integration module (IPM) Rear Fog Lamp Switch Input is grounded via CKT 187 (LT BLU), the rear fog lamp switch contacts in the headlamp switch, and CKT 351 (BLK/WHT) to G200. In response to this input, the IPM sends a class 2 message to the dash integration module (DIM) changing the state of the rear fog lamps. The state of the rear fog lamps will reset to off between ignition cycles. It must be reinitiated after each ignition cycle. Battery positive voltage (B+) is supplied at all times from the rear junction block EXPORT LGT Fuse to the RR FOG LP relay switch via CKT 3140 (ORN). Battery positive voltage (B+) is supplied with the ignition switch in the ON or START position from the rear junction block IGN 1 Fuse to the RR FOG LP relay coil. The RR FOG LP relay is located in the rear compartment relay center. When the rear fog lamp state is on and the front fog lamps or park lamps are on, the rear integration module (RIM) grounds the RR FOG LP relay coil via CKT 1977 (YEL). With the ignition switch in the ON or START position, the RR FOG LP relay coil is energized and the switch contact closes. Battery positive Voltage (B+) is supplied to the LH and RH rear fog lamps via CKT 122 (RED). The LH and RH rear fog lamps are both permanently grounded through CKT 850 (BLK) to G402, so both rear fog lamps have power and ground, and then light.
