Removal Procedure
- Disconnect the electrical connections from the phone. Set the handset aside.
- Remove the console bin. Refer to Front Floor Console Compartment Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
- Cut the tie strap securing the phone connector.
- Feed the wiring through the hole in the console bin.
- Remove the screws securing the phone docking station to the console bin.
Installation Procedure
- Hold the bin backwards above the console. Route the harness through the large hole in the bin.
- Feed the 10-way adapter harness through the small hole, leaving about 102 mm (4 in) of slack.
- Connect the 10-way connector to the phone adapter.
- Install the tie strap to securing the phone connector.
- Feed the excess slack back into the large hole in the bin.
- Install the phone docking station screws.
- Install the console bin to the console. Refer to Front Floor Console Compartment Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
Important: Ensure that the phone wiring is not pinched when installing the console bin.
