Was the Audible Warnings System Check performed?

  1. Disconnect the Instrument Panel Integration Module (IPM) connector C1.
  2. Using a DMM, measure resistance from IPM connector C1 terminal D7 to ground.

Does the resistance vary between the specified values when the key is in the ignition and when the key is removed?

less than 5 ohms (Key in ignition)

OL (Key not in ignition)

Go to Step 6

  1. Disconnect the ignition switch.
  2. Using a DMM, measure resistance from IPM connector C1 terminal D7 to ground.

Is the resistance less than the specified value?

10 K ohms

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 5

Repair low resistance or short to ground on CKT 80 (LT GRN).

Is the circuit repair complete?

Replace the ignition switch. Refer to Ignition and Start Switch Replacement .

Is the replacement complete?

  1. Check the IPM connector C1 for damage.
  2. If OK, replace the IPM. Refer to Body Control Module Replacement .
