One Horn Inoperative

Was the Horns Diagnostic System Check performed?

  1. Disconnect the horns
  2. Connect a test lamp between terminal B of the inoperative horn and ground
  3. Depress and hold the horn switch.

Does the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 3

Go to Step 5

Connect a test lamp between terminal A and battery positive (B+).

Does the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 8

Replace horn, refer to Horn Replacement

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Diagnostic System Check - Horns

  1. Connect a test lamp between the Underhood Junction block connector C1, terminal B12 and ground.
  2. Depress and hold the horn switch.

Does the test lamp light?

Go to Step 6

Repair open in CKT 29 (DK GRN).

Is the repair complete?

Replace Underhood Junction Block , refer to Underhood Fuse Block Replacement

Is the repair complete?

Connect a test lamp between Ground Splice Pack G104 terminal C and battery positive (B+).

Does the test lamp light?

Go to Step 9

Repair open in CKT 250 (BLK).

Is the repair complete?

Inspect ground G104, if OK replace Ground Splice Pack G104.

Is the repair complete?
