Was the RAP System Check performed?

1. Cover the ambient light sensor.
2. Turn the interior lamps switch to AUTO.
3. Open then close the LH front door.

Did the front courtesy lamps turn on with the door open and than turn off (after a 25-second delay) after the door was closed?

Go to Interior Lamps System Check In Lighting Systems.

Open then close the LH rear door.

Did the front courtesy lamps turn on with the door open and then turn off (after a 25-second delay) after the door was closed?

Go to Step 4

Go to Interior Lamps System Check In Lighting Systems.

Open then close the RH front door.

Did the front courtesy lamps turn on with the door open and then turn off (after a 25-second delay) after the door was closed?

Go to Step 5

Go to Interior Lamps System Check In Lighting Systems.

Open then close the RH rear door.

Did the front courtesy lamps turn on with the door open and then turn off (after a 25-second delay) after the door was closed?

Is only the sunroof inoperative when RAP is active?

Does the sunroof operate with the ignition switch in the ON position?

1. Close all passenger doors.
2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
3. Wait 5 seconds, then turn the ignition to OFF.
4. With a scan tool check the ignition switch state of the DIM.

Does the DIM ignition switch state indicate RAP?

10-15 V

1. Ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect the DIM connector C1.
3. Check for voltage from the DIM connector C1 terminal A3 (CKT 3 PNK) to ground.

Is the voltage within the specified value?

10-15 V

1. Disconnect the ignition switch connector C1.
2. Check for voltage from the ignition switch connector C1 terminal B (CKT 3 PNK) to ground.

Is the voltage within the specified value?

10-15 V

Go to Step 11

Go to Step 19

Repair short to voltage in CKT 3 (PNK).

Is the repair complete?

Go to Retained Accessory Power (RAP) System Check .

--

Check for voltage from the DIM connector C1 terminal A2 (CKT 4 BRN) to ground.

Is the voltage within the specified value?

10-15 V

Go to Step 13

1. Disconnect the ignition switch connector C1.
2. Check for voltage from the ignition switch connector C1 terminal C (CKT 4 BRN) to ground.

Is the voltage within the specified value?

10-15 V

Go to Step 14

Repair short to voltage in CKT 4 (BRN).

Is the repair complete?

Go to Retained Accessory Power (RAP) System Check .

Check for voltage from the DIM connector C1 terminal A1 (CKT 1390 WHT) to ground.

Is the voltage within the specified value?

10-15 V

Go to Step 16

1. Disconnect the ignition switch connector C2.
2. Check for voltage from the ignition switch connector C2 terminal E (CKT 1390 WHT) to ground.

Is the voltage within the specified value?

10-15 V

Go to Step 17

Repair short to voltage in CKT 1390 (WHT).

Is the repair complete?

Go to Retained Accessory Power (RAP) System Check .

Replace the dash integration module (DIM).

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Retained Accessory Power (RAP) System Check .

Replace the ignition switch.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Retained Accessory Power (RAP) System Check .

Replace the rear integration module (RIM).

Is the repair complete?
