Removal Procedure
- Start at the joint at bottom of door opening and pull the weatherstrip away from the door opening flange.
- Work around the door opening and remove the weatherstrip.
Installation Procedure
- Position the paint dot in the upper corner of the center pillar and firmly seat the weather strip.
- Working downward along the rear edge, install the weatherstrip on the door opening flange keeping slight tension on the weather strip to prevent any wrinkles from forming in the trim lip.
- From the center pillar corner working forward, install the weatherstrip along the roof rail and the window-pillar flange.
- Even out any excess weather strip along the rocker panel.
- Using a plastic trim stick or equivalent, position the close-out lip over the interior trim around the entire door opening, or use a pull-string under the close-out lip to reposition the lip.
Important: One paint dot on the weatherstrip indicates RH weatherstrip starting point, and two paint dots on the weatherstrip indicates LH weatherstrip starting point.
