For 1990-2009 cars only
- Activate the sunroof motor to align the sunroof glass panel to the fully closed and flush position.
- Adjust the sunroof glass position in order to precisely align the glass to the roof sheet metal. Refer to Sunroof Manual Operation .
- Remove the sunroof motor. Do not disconnect the wire harness.
- Activate the sunroof motor in any of the following switch positions:
- Replace the sunroof motor.
- Operate the sunroof through all functions to allow the control module to learn the sunroof glass position.
- Readjust the sunroof glass panel if necessary. Refer to Sunroof Window Height and Opening Fit Adjustment .
Important: The incorrect sunroof switch position (vent or slide) may have to be used to close the sunroof glass panel. This is due to the motor and sunroof glass not being timed to each other.
Important: The sunroof electronics will automatically stop the sunroof motor at each cam detent.
Important: This may require multiple attempts due to the dual detents in the motor cam.
