  1. Remove the key from the ignition switch.
  2. Connect the passenger yellow 2-way connector (1) located above the passenger sound insulator.

  3. Object Number: 338380  Size: SH
  4. Install the Connector Position Assurance (CPA) (2) to the passenger yellow 2-way connector (1) located above the passenger sound insulator.
  5. Connect the driver yellow 2-way connector located at the base of the steering column.
  6. Install the Connector Position Assurance (CPA) (2) to the driver yellow 2-way connector (1) located at the base of the steering column.

  7. Object Number: 142208  Size: SH
  8. Install the driver sound insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
  9. Install the passenger sound insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.

  10. Object Number: 156263  Size: SH
  11. Connect the side air bag/pretensioner yellow 6-way connector (2) located under the driver seat (1).

  12. Object Number: 338380  Size: SH
  13. Install the Connector Position Assurance (CPA) (2) to the side air bag/pretensioner yellow 6-way connector (1) located under the driver seat.

  14. Object Number: 156263  Size: SH
  15. Connect the side air bag/pretensioner yellow 6-way connector (2) located under the passenger front seat (1).
  16. Install the Connector Position Assurance (CPA) (1) to the side air bag/pretensioner yellow 6-way connector located under the passenger front seat (1).
  17. Install the SIR fuse to the rear junction block.
  18. Staying well away from all air bags and the pretensioners, turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
  19. • The AIR BAG warning lamp will flash seven times.
    • The AIR BAG warning lamp will then turn OFF.
  20. Perform the SIR Diagnostic System Check if the AIR BAG warning lamp does not operate as described. Refer to SIR Diagnostic System Check .
