Subject: | Spotting on Rubber Portion of Side Door Exterior Moldings and Weatherstrips at Beltline (Exterior Finish Repair Procedure) |
Models: | 1998-99 Cadillac Seville |
Some customers may comment that the rubber portion of the side door exterior moldings and weatherstrips at the beltline have what appears to be waterspots that cannot be removed. This condition is also sometimes referred to as "leopard spots".
The finish coating adheres to the rubber but the appearance somehow degrades with time due to an interaction between the rubber and the coating.
When using the products in this procedure, it is important to follow the precautions listed.
