Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 602315  Size: MH
  1. Remove the nuts (3) retaining the rear AIR exhaust hose to AIR check valve.
  2. Remove the AIR exhaust hose from the AIR check valve.
  3. Disconnect the AIR vacuum hoses.
  4. Remove the nuts retaining the AIR check valve to the exhaust manifold pipe.
  5. Remove the rear AIR check valve.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 602315  Size: MH
  1. Install the rear AIR check valve.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the nuts retaining the AIR check valve (4) to the bracket assembly.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the upper AIR pump to cradle bolt to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  5. Reconnect the AIR vacuum hoses.
  6. Install the AIR exhaust hose to the AIR check valve bracket.
  7. Install the nuts (3) retaining the AIR exhaust hose (2) to the bracket.
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the upper AIR pump to cradle bolt to 9 N·m (80 lb in).
