Removal Procedure

Tools Required

J 6627-A Wheel Stud Remover

  1. Raise vehicle and suitably support. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Remove the wheel and tire. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
  3. Remove the brake rotor. Refer to Brake Rotor Replacement in Disc Brakes.

  4. Object Number: 105006  Size: SH
  5. Using J 6627-A press out the wheel stud.
  6. Remove the wheel stud at the inner most notch in the knuckle on the caliper side of the steering knuckle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 105007  Size: SH
  1. Install new wheel stud .
  2. Using washers and a wheel nut, pull the wheel stud into position.
  3. Install the brake rotor. Refer to Brake Rotor Replacement in Disc Brakes.
  4. Install the wheel and tire. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
  5. Lower the vehicle.
