Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .

  2. Object Number: 574502  Size: SH
  3. Remove the cover (2) from the underhood fuse block.
  4. Disconnect the positive battery cables nut (1) from the underhood fuse block.

  5. Object Number: 471509  Size: SH
  6. Disconnect the four locking tabs from the underhood fuse block and lift the assembly up from the base.
  7. Loosen the three screws retaining the underhood fuse block connectors.

  8. Object Number: 471511  Size: SH
  9. Disconnect the engine harness connector from the underhood fuse block.
  10. Remove the underhood fuse block from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 471511  Size: SH
  1. Connect the engine harness electrical connector to the underhood fuse block.
  2. Position the underhood fuse block to the base.

  3. Object Number: 471509  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the three screws retaining the underhood fuse block connectors.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the three screws to 7 N·m (62 lb in).

  6. Install the underhood fuse block by pressing into the four locking tabs.

  7. Object Number: 574502  Size: SH
  8. Connect the positive battery cables nut (1) to the underhood fuse block.
  9. Tighten
    Tighten the nut to 12  N·m (106 lb in).

  10. Install the cover (2) to the underhood fuse block.
  11. Connect the negative battery cable to the battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
