DEFINITION: Air delivery does not operate correctly.

1. Connect the scan tool. Refer to J 39200 in Wiring Systems.
2. Start the engine.
3. Using scan tool view HVAC DTCs.

Are any HVAC DTCs present?

Go to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List/Type

Go to Step 2

1. Using scan tool, view mode actuator data.
2. Adjust the air flow discharge using the mode button on the control assembly.

Does the air flow change discharge locations?

Go to Step 4

Using the scan tool adjust the mode position.

Does the air flow change discharge locations?

Go to Step  6

Go to Step 4

Inspect the mode actuator and mode valves for binding or mechanical failure.

Was a binding condition repaired?

Go to Step 7

Replace the mode actuator. Refer to Mode Actuator Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

Replace the instrument panel integration module. Refer to Instrument Panel Module Replacement .
