Did you perform the Lighting System Diagnostic System Check?

  1. Turn the headlamp switch to the OFF position.
  2. Turn the twilight delay switch to an ON position.
  3. Expose the ambient light sensor to a bright incandescent light.
  4. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
  5. Remove the gear selector from the PARK position.
  6. Backprobe the underhood fuse block with a DMM from battery positive voltage (B+) to connector C2 cavity B10 (LT GRN/BLK).

Is the voltage within specified range?

10-15 V

Go to Step 3

Backprobe the underhood fuse block connector C1 with a DMM from cavity A9 (PNK) to ground.

Is the voltage within specified range?

10-15 V

Go to Step 4

Backprobe the LH high beam headlamp with a DMM from cavity B (PNK) to ground.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

10-15 V

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems.

Replace the DRL Relay.

Are the DRL now operating properly?

--

Go to Step 11

Replace the underhood fuse block. Refer to Underhood Electrical Center or Junction Block Replacement in Wiring Systems.

Is the underhood fuse block replacement complete?

--

Go to Step 11

  1. Disconnect the dash integration module (DIM) connector C1.
  2. Remove the DRL relay from the underhood fuse block.
  3. Backprobe the underhood fuse block connector C2 with a DMM from cavity B10 (LT GRN/BLK) to the DIM connector C1 cavity A4 (LT GRN/BLK).

Is the resistance less than the specified value?

5 ohms

Replace the dash integration module (DIM). Refer to Dash Integration Module Replacement in Body Control System.

Is the DIM replacement complete?

Repair the open in CKT 592 (LT GRN/BLK) between the underhood fuse block and the DIM. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the circuit repair complete?

Go to Step 11

Repair the open in CKT 1200 (PNK) between the underhood fuse block and the LH high beam headlamp. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the circuit repair complete?

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.

Backprobe the rear compartment relay center connector with a DMM from cavity D9 (ORN) to ground.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

10-15 V

Backprobe the rear compartment relay center connector with a DMM from cavity C9 (ORN) to ground.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

10-15 V

Is the voltage within the specified range?

10-15 V

Do both low beam headlamps operate normally during regular low beam operation?

Replace the DRL Relay in the rear compartment relay center.

Is the relay replacement complete?

Repair the open in CKT 3140 (ORN) between S401 and the rear compartment relay center. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the circuit repair complete?

Go to Step 13

Repair the open in CKT 545 (DK BLU) between the rear compartment relay center and the underhood fuse block. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the circuit repair complete?

  1. Disconnect the rear compartment relay center connector.
  2. Disconnect the dash integration module (DIM) connector C1.
  3. Connect a DMM from the rear compartment relay center connector cavity D7 (LT GRN/BLK) to the DIM connector C1 cavity A4 (LT GRN/BLK).

Is the resistance less than the specified value?

5 ohms

Replace the dash integration module (DIM). Refer to Dash Integration Module Replacement in Body Control System.

Is the DIM replacement complete?

Repair the open in CKT 592 (LT GRN/BLK) between the rear compartment relay center and the DIM. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
