Did you perform the Lighting Systems Diagnostic System Check?

Backprobe the hazard switch assembly connector with a DMM from cavity G (ORN) to cavity C (WHT).

Is the voltage within the specified range?

10-15 V

Go to Step 3

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
  2. Connect a scan tool to the data link connector (DLC).
  3. Select OUTPUTS from the dash integration module (DIM) DATA DISPLAY.

Does the scan tool indicate that the Theft Lighting output was ON?

Disconnect the DIM connector C1.

Do the hazard lamps turn off?

Replace the dash integration module (DIM). Refer to Dash Integration Module Replacement in Body Control System.

Is the DIM replacement complete?

Replace the hazard switch assembly. Refer to Hazard Warning Switch Replacement .

Is the hazard switch assembly replacement complete?

Go to Step 8

Repair the short to ground in CKT 111 (WHT). Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the circuit repair complete?

Go to Step 8

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.

Did you correct the condition?

--

System OK.
