Did you perform the Lighting Systems Diagnostic System Check?

  1. Turn the headlamp switch to the ON position.
  2. Backprobe with a DMM from battery positive voltage (B+) to the headlamp dimmer switch connector C202 cavity B11 (PNK/BLK).
  3. Pull the headlamp dimmer toward the driver.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

10-15 V

Go to Step 5

  1. Disconnect the headlamp dimmer switch connector C202.
  2. Connect a DMM from the headlamp dimmer switch connector C202 cavity B7 (BLK) to ground.

Is the resistance less than the specified value?

0.5 ohms

Replace the headlamp dimmer switch. Refer to Multifunction Turn Signal Lever Replacement - On Vehicle in Steering Wheel and Column-Tilt.

Is the headlamp dimmer switch replacement complete?

Go to Step 9

  1. Remove the DMM.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
  3. Connect a scan tool to the data link connector (DLC).
  4. Select INPUTS from the dash integration module (DIM) DATA DISPLAY.
  5. Pull the headlamp dimmer toward the driver.

Does the scan tool indicate that the Flash To Pass Switch was ON?

Replace the dash integration module (DIM). Refer to Dash Integration Module Replacement in Body Control System.

Is the DIM replacement complete?

Go to Step 9

Repair the open in CKT 1484 (PNK/WHT) between the DIM and the headlamp dimmer switch. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the circuit repair complete?

Go to Step 9

Repair the open in CKT 350 (BLK) between the headlamp dimmer switch and ground G200. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the circuit repair complete?

--

Go to Step 9

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.

Did you correct the condition?
