Did you perform the Lighting System Diagnostic System Check?

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
  2. Disconnect the headlamp switch connector.

Do the front fog lamps turn off?

Go to Step 8

  1. Connect a scan tool to the data link connector (DLC).
  2. Select INPUTS from the instrument panel integration module (IPM) DATA DISPLAY.

Does the scan tool indicate that the Front Fog Lamp Switch was ON?

Go to Step 9

Disconnect the dash integration module (DIM) connector C1.

Do the front fog lamps turn off?

Go to Step 10

Disconnect the underhood fuse block connector C2.

Do the front fog lamps turn off?

--

Go to Step 11

Remove the FOG LP relay from the underhood fuse block.

Do the front fog lamps turn off?

Go to Step 12

Replace the underhood fuse block. Refer to Underhood Electrical Center or Junction Block Replacement in Wiring Systems.

Is the underhood fuse block replacement complete?

Go to Step 13

Replace the headlamp switch. Refer to Headlamp Switch Replacement .

Is the headlamp switch replacement complete?

Go to Step 13

Repair the short to ground in CKT  192 (ORN). Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the circuit repair complete?

Go to Step 13

Replace the dash integration module (DIM). Refer to Dash Integration Module Replacement in Body Control System.

Is the DIM replacement complete?

Go to Step 13

Repair the short to ground in CKT 1317 (DK GRN/WHT). Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the circuit repair complete?

Go to Step 13

Replace the FOG LP relay.

Do the front fog lamps turn off?

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.

Did you correct the condition?
