Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 306317  Size: SH
  1. Remove the electrical connectors from the washer pump and the solvent level sensor switch.
  2. Remove the washer hose from the washer pump.
  3. Remove the A/C accumulator. Refer to Air Conditioning Accumulator Replacement in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning.
  4. Remove the two nuts, the screw, and washer solvent container.

  5. Object Number: 306328  Size: SH
  6. Remove the washer pump and the grommet from the washer solvent container.

  7. Object Number: 306320  Size: SH
  8. Remove the solvent level sensor switch and the grommet from the washer solvent container.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the grommet and the solvent level sensor switch in the washer solvent container.

  2. Object Number: 306328  Size: SH

    Important: Ensure that the washer pump is pushed all the way into the container seal.

  3. Install the grommet and the washer pump in the washer solvent container.

  4. Object Number: 306317  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the washer solvent container with two nuts and a screw.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 6 N·m (53 lb in).

  7. Install the A/C accumulator. Refer to Air Conditioning Accumulator Replacement in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning.
  8. Connect the electrical connectors to the solvent level sensor switch and the washer pump.
  9. Connect the washer hose to the washer pump.
  10. Put the washer solvent in the washer solvent container.
