The windshield wiper/washer system consists of a permanent-magnet, wiper motor, a wiper transmission, wiper arm and blades, a washer pump and a solvent level sensor mounted on a washer solvent reservoir, and a wiper/washer switch. Vehicles equipped with the Rainsense option are equipped with a Rainsense module as well as all of the components listed above. The Rainsense module is mounted ahead and to the right of the inside rear view.

Pulse timing and demand wash functions are controlled by a printed circuit board in the wiper motor cover.
