  2. Connect a test light between the rainsense module connector (harness side) terminals 7 and 8.

  1. Check for an open in CKT 481.
  2. If OK, replace the wiper motor. Refer to Windshield Wiper Motor Replacement .
  3. If the problem persists replace the rainsense module. Refer to Windshield Outside Moisture Sensor Replacement .

  1. Turn the ignition OFF.
  2. Disconnect wiper/washer switch connector C202.
  3. Set the wiper switch to DELAY.
  4. Measure the resistance through connector C202, terminal A3 to terminal D3, using a J 39200 set to the Ohms scale.
  5. Move the wiper switch through the entire delay range.

Does the resistance vary within the specified range?

39 kohms to 680 kohms

Replace the wiper/washer switch. Refer to Multifunction Turn Signal Lever Replacement - On Vehicle .

  1. Reconnect connector C202 to the wiper/washer switch connector.
  2. Disconnect the harness connector from the wiper motor.
  3. Turn the ignition to ON.
  4. Set the wiper switch to HI.
  5. Measure the voltage from the wiper motor connector terminal H to ground using a J 39200 .

Is the measurement within the specified values?

10.5-15.5 V

  2. Connect a J 35616-200 between the rainsense module connector (harness side) terminals 7 and 8.
