Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 625727  Size: SH
  1. Remove the rear storage compartment trim. Refer to Rear Compartment Trim Panel Replacement in Body Rear End.
  2. Remove the bay board fasteners (2).
  3. Pull the bay board (1) away from the body and place the bay board  (1) module side up in the rear compartment.

  4. Object Number: 650998  Size: SH
  5. Disconnect the electrical connections from the RIM (Rear Integration Module).
  6. Remove the RIM (1) by depressing the locking tabs (2) inward, in order to release the RIM (1) from the bay board.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 650999  Size: SH
  1. Install the RIM (1) to the bay board.
  2. Push the RIM (1) into the opening on the bay board, until an audible click is heard, indicating the Rim (1) is secured to the bay board.
  3. Connect the electrical connections to the RIM (1).

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the bay board (1) to the vehicle body.
  6. Install the bay board fasteners (2).
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the fasteners (2) to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  8. Install the rear storage compartment trim. Refer to Rear Compartment Trim Panel Replacement in Body Rear End.
  9. Reprogram the RIM. Refer to Body Control Module (BCM) Programming/RPO Configuration .
