DEFINITION: One power door lock does not lock and/or unlock. All other door locks operate correctly.

Did you perform the Power Door Locks System Check ?

  1. Disconnect the door lock actuator connector C2 at the malfunctioning door.
  2. Using a digital multimeter (DMM), measure the voltage between door lock actuator harness connector C2 terminal A and terminal B while operating the power door locks in the lock and unlock directions.

Is the voltage within the specified range for both measurements?

10-15 V

Go to Step 3

Go to Step 4

Replace the power door lock actuator at the malfunctioning door. Refer to Front Side Door Latch Replacement or Rear Side Door Latch Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

Go to Power Door Locks System Check

  1. Disconnect the door module connector C2 at the malfunctioning door.
  2. Using a DMM, measure the resistance between door lock actuator harness connector C2 terminal A and door module harness connector C2 terminal G (LH doors) or L (RH doors).

Is the resistance within the specified range?

0-5 ohms

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 5

Repair the open in CKT 294.

Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Power Door Locks System Check

Using a DMM, measure the resistance between door lock actuator harness connector C2 terminal B and door module harness connector C2 terminal H (LH doors) or M (RH doors).

Is the resistance within the specified range?

0-5 ohms

Go to Step 8

Go to Step 7

Repair the open in CKT 295.

Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Power Door Locks System Check

Replace the door module at the malfunctioning door. Refer to Door Control Module Replacement .
