The rear compartment lid release system includes the following
main components:
| • | The rear compartment lid latch assembly. This assembly includes
an electrically-controlled release actuator and a release cable. |
| • | The rear compartment lid latch striker. |
| • | A rear compartment lid release button. This button is mounted
on the instrument panel below the headlamp switch |
| • | A valet switch (remote trunk release lockout switch). This switch
is located in the instrument panel compartment (glovebox). |
| • | The keyless entry transmitter. |
