When servicing the vehicle with the VIN you entered, the following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the described symptoms.

Condition/Concern:

The Tech 2 currently does not indicate the ECM calibration number after an update. The Tech 2 currently displays the component files contained in the overall calibration. This concern only affects ECMs on 2004 Cadillac SRX and XLR with the 4.6L (LH2) engine.

Recommendation/Instructions:

Currently engineering is developing a correction for the concern where the Tech 2 does not indicate the overall calibration number after updating the ECM on 2004 Cadillac SRX and XLR with the 4.6L (LH2) engine.

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed. If these steps do not resolve the condition, please contact GM TAC for further diagnostic assistance. This diagnostic approach was developed for the vehicle with the VIN you entered and should not be automatically be used for other vehicles with similar symptoms.
